About Harriet
Harriet Redfern was born in the North of England but has spent most of her life living and working in London. Her longstanding passion for National Hunt racing was originally inspired by watching televised race meetings whilst doing the family ironing on winter Saturday afternoons.
This entertaining distraction from the housework soon became a serious pastime as her children grew older, and included a brief, although rather unsuccessful, excursion into racehorse ownership.
Harriet is also a qualified pilot and aircraft owner and can be found in the skies whenever the weather is good. Now retired from her career in the University world, Harriet lives and writes in Cheltenham.

Tabikat
(Kat’s Gift Thrillers Book 1)

The orderly rural world of Sampfield Grange is turned upside down by the arrival of Tabikat, a Cheltenham Gold Cup contender with elusive owners and a mysteriously hidden bloodline. With no one to guide him, the trainer must prepare the magnificent horse for the race of his life. But it seems that more than one of the racing yard staff has a secret to hide, and that Gold Cup Day will be the ideal place for a brutal murder.

Katseye
(Kat’s Gift Thrillers Book 2)
Jockey Merlin ap Rhys is being blackmailed – or at least he thinks that’s why lurid images are being sent to his mobile phone. Trying to discover who is doing this, and why, Merlin finds himself accused of murder. Star Irish racehorse Katseye joins his brother Tabikat at Sampfield Grange and is bought by charismatic Italian aircraft manufacturer Arturo Ardizzone.
When one of Arturo’s advanced aircraft crashes in flames on a stormy night at a nearby airfield, it becomes clear that someone is hellbent on revenge and that Gold Cup Day at the Cheltenham Festival will provide the opportunity.

Katalyst
(Kat’s Gift Thrillers Book 3)
Conditional jockey Kye McMahon fears that his criminal past is catching up with him when a fellow rider is viciously attacked in an apparent case of mistaken identity. As star racehorse Tabikat and jockey Merlin ap Rhys take on the million pound challenge of the jump racing Triple Crown, trainer James Sampfield Peveril and his team find themselves faced with a series of mysterious setbacks. Meanwhile, the sale of a young colt called Katalyst resurrects ghosts from breeder Eoghan Foley’s traumatic past. As a cyber criminal’s tortuous plan is carried out from beyond the grave, the Cheltenham Festival provides the setting for the dramatic revelation of a thirty year old secret.

CopyKat
(Kat’s Gift Thrillers Book 4)
When Cheltenham Gold Cup winning racehorse trainer James Sampfield Peveril becomes the target of violent hunt saboteurs, assistant trainer Sadie Shinkins must oversee the expansion of the now famous Sampfield Grange yard. Merlin’s quiet cousin, wildlife photographer Bryn Griffiths, falls for Angharad Evans, an attractive eco-warrior who exploits his expertise with drones to support the aggressive tactics of an environmental campaign movement. Meanwhile, bizarre text messages signed by the mysterious CopyKat threaten to overshadow star racehorse Tabikat’s bid to win the Cheltenham Gold Cup for the third time in succession.
